Tailored Solution of Q.I. Press Controls - Engineering Automation Electronics Prepares La Nouvelle République for the Future

Press release from the issuing company

Oosterhout – La Nouvelle République du Centre Ouest will be the third newspaper printing house in France to use closed-loop colour control from Q.I. Press Controls - Engineering Automation Electronics (QIPC-EAE). QIPC-EAE, the Dutch specialist in measurement and control technology for the printing industry, will install a Performance Package at the print shop in Tours.

Performance Package
The Performance Package combines QIPC's innovative measurement and control systems with EAE's control systems. La Nouvelle République du Centre Ouest has been using EAE's systems for many years. "It was logical to extend this to the rest of our press," says Laurent Lanos, Director of the Printing Company, who, thanks to the acquisition of EAE by QIPC, became an additional trusted partner. "QIPC is the natural partner for colour control with EAE control systems.

Tailor-made
The press consists of a Goss Uniliner from 2008 and Visa Creusot Loire from 1988 with 3 towers and 1 folder. This combination of different generations of presses makes the automation and control of them tailor-made. "The strong partnership, precise follow-up, good service and flexibility mean that we are confident that we could work best with QIPC-EAE on this complex project," says Laurent Lanos.

Technical details
QIPC-EAE will install QIPC's IDS-3D colour control system, equipped with Automatic Ink Mist Shield and dampening control. EAE's control systems will be extended to the Visa Creusot Loire, the Print PP system will be installed and there will be a PC retrofit, including 2 new control consoles.

Future-proof
With the modernisation of the press, La Nouvelle République du Centre Ouest is able to improve the quality of its printing and optimise its processes for the future. "We are counting on more consistency and higher quality", Laurent Lanos is more specific. "We want to ensure our production for the next ten years."
