imPRESSions Worldwide Acquires Equipment from the Centralia Chronicle Shut Down

Press release from the issuing company

Burlington, Wash. – The Chronicle Printing in Centralia, Washington announced in May that it was shutting down its Printing Division and moving its printing needs to the Sound Publishing plant in Everett. imPRESSions Worldwide was able to come to an agreement to purchase the retiring press equipment and manage the liquidation of other items in inventory. Since then imPRESSions has found buyers for a major part of the assets including a 16-unit DGM 430 web press, Muller stitchers, an inkjet labeler, cutters and heat sealers. imPRESSions has been working diligently to sell off the remaining items by the end of October, the deadline for having the cleared.

“It is a large undertaking to remove equipment from a 30,000 sq. ft. facility. Fortunately, imPRESSions has coordinated many complex operations like this one. We know how to cycle crews to go in and work on crating, skidding, loading and even scrapping some equipment – making the coordination flow seamlessly,” said Jimmy Easterly, VP of Operations at imPRESSions Worldwide. imPRESSions is on track to have the project completed before the deadline.

Now in our 25th year, imPRESSions Worldwide is the premiere company offering the largest inventory of second-hand single-wide newspaper and commercial presses and auxiliary equipment. imPRESSions is fully staffed and has over 1500 precisely executed press projects and has delivered to more than 50 countries.
