Roland DG to Bring "Wow" Factor to Labelexpo with Unique On Demand Solutions

Press release from the issuing company

Brand owners wishing to engage with customers on a personal level have created a growing need for the on demand production of small runs, micro-lots and even one-off labels, packaging, and custom decorated items. At Labelexpo Europe 2019 in Brussels (24 – 27 September 2019), Roland DG (Booth 9C16) will present the latest among its versatile digital production equipment including the unveiling of new products designed to build a profitable business- from quantities of as few as one to 1000.

“Our aim is to show the visitors to Labelexpo how unique labels and packaging comps enable a profitable business,” explains Satoko Yoshida, Digital Printing Marketing Manager at Roland DG Corporation. “We will be printing on a wide variety of substrates, including not only paper and PET-film based materials, but also leather, metal plates, wood and acrylic. This will allow us to present some truly amazing applications that will wow attendees with high levels of versioning and personalisation without compromising print quality.”

Among the impressive line-up of innovative solutions from an extensive product portfolio will be Roland’s latest addition to its VersaUV LEF2 range of UV flatbed printers- ideal for direct printing stunning graphics and lifelike textures with matt and gloss finishes onto a huge range of items including mobile phone cases, giftware and operation panels. The Roland DG booth will also showcase the very latest laser engraving technology which enables cutting, engraving and marking of rigid and soft materials for fabrication and decoration.

DGSHAPE Corporation, a Roland DG subsidiary, will also exhibit two of its advanced technologies. The METAZA MPX-95 Photo Impact Printer, which enables permanent marking of serialised data on metal, and a next generation digital laser foil decorator which transfers metallic effects onto a huge range of materials.

In addition to these products, there will also be a new UV inkjet device for the production of short run labels and packaging prototypes. Yoshida comments. “We look forward to unveiling all the details of this versatile new product on 24th September, the first day of Labelexpo.”

“To provide show attendees with an overview of all the profitable possibilities, the Roland DG booth (9C16) will feature two areas,” Yoshida continues. “One area will be dedicated to industrial label and label-type applications, including micro and short-run labels printed on Lintec media and unique 2D symbol marking on metal with the METAZA impact printer. A second area will feature a Local Craft Beer Autumn Festival theme with a full range of product marketing materials”.
