ADF&PCD New York 2019 - September 17 & 18, 2019 - Altman Building & Metropolitan Pavilion - New York City
Packaging of Perfume Cosmetics & Design (PCD) has announced its program for the fourth annual ADF&PCD New York conference, held September 17 & 18, 2019 at the Altman Building & Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City.
Future Beauty Packaging Live is powered by Webpac, the world’s first cloud-based platform for the consumer goods and packaging industries. The program — a mix of interactive conference sessions and private, invitation only workshops presented by industry superstars —will give packaging professionals in attendance a one-stop, one-location opportunity to witness the industry’s latest technical innovations in speed-to-market, cost-effectiveness, sustainability and luxury. The two-day conference culminates in the ADF&PCD New York Packaging Innovation Awards, which recognizes companies that are pushing the boundaries of innovation and brings brands, suppliers and designers together.
PCD New York program and presenter highlights include:
Exploring New Smart Paths to Enhance Consumer Experience in Beauty — New expectations or growing needs, what trends do social media conversations reveal about the future of beauty packaging? Chairman: Jeb Gleason-Allured – Editor-in-Chief - Global Cosmetic Industry
Webpac Presents the Future of Pack Development— Explore cloud-based digital solutions that empower brands and pack suppliers to connect, collaborate, and create faster.
Less And More: Meeting Indie Beauty Brands’ Unique Packaging Needs — The Independent Beauty Movement has gone global and (at least for the foreseeable future) is here to stay. Savvy packaging companies are already catering to small startups, niche brands, and innovative indies with smaller MOQs, online customization tools, and more. Deanna Utroske, Editor of the business news site CosmeticDesign.com, will speak with packaging industry experts and indie beauty insiders about the way today’s innovative cosmetics and personal care startups discover, choose, purchase, and decorate product packaging.
Plastics in Turmoil: Towards Greener Alternatives in Beauty Packaging — With increasingly ecologically responsible consumers and brands beginning to challenge themselves to develop new, smarter ways to package their products, the market is being asked to find alternatives and unravel the practices of using plastic too systematically. The debate is open, because bioplastics, glass, or not using packaging at all are options that each have their own disadvantages. This transition needs fresh, rule-breaking thinking. But today's consumers are open to changing habits if the end experience is dramatically better for them and the planet. Chairman: Christophe Pradère – CEO & Founder - BETC Design
Global vs. Local: Packaging Challenges of International Growth — 2019 is an exciting year for packaging designers and brands alike. From amazing color combinations to no color at all, from minimalism to vintage styles, and from ingenious packaging solutions to plastic-free packaging, it’s a year of contrasts, where everything is possible. Designers are finding new, clever ways to make products practically jump off the shelves. But how do you ensure your packaging looks the same in every territory your brand is sold in? Chairwoman: Kameelah S. Majied - Associate Director of Project Management - Merck.
The Future of Perfume Packaging: a panel organized in partnership with the International Perfume Foundation
Part 1 (New York 2019): The State of Packaging
Chairwoman: Creezy Courtoy – Founder and Chairwoman - The International Perfume Foundation
