Worzalla Announces New Employee Members to its Board of Directors

Press release from the issuing company

As a 100% employee-owned company, Worzalla held elections to fill employee-member vacancies on its Board of Directors

Stevens Point, Wis. – Worzalla, an employee-owned printing company specializing in high-quality custom products including children’s books and coffee table books, announced two new members to its Board of Directors. Mary Przybylski was elected to serve a 1-year term after serving as an interim board member and Wayne Plaski was elected to serve a 3-year term after filling a vacant board seat since January.

Przybylski joined Worzalla in 1992 and currently works as a Lead Customer Service Representative. Throughout her career at Worzalla, she has held numerous roles with the Finishing, Prep, and Customer Service departments.

“I truly believe in the future for all of us and understand the decisions we make today will drive our Worzalla future,” said Przybylski. “I look forward to being able to continue my service on the Board of Directors and being a voice for the employees when it comes to decisions that will impact Worzalla’s future.”

Plaski joined Worzalla in 1988 and currently works as a Sheetfed Team Leader in the Press Department. He is a graduate of Stevens Point Area Senior High and the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point. Last year, Wayne celebrated his 30th anniversary of working with Worzalla.

“I believe my tenure with Worzalla in manufacturing gives me the perspective to make sound decisions on behalf of all the associates,” said Plaski. “I’m pleased to be able to represent their viewpoints on the Worzalla Board of Directors.”

“As an employee-owned company, the welfare and interests of our employees are a top priority. Having employee representation on our Board of Directors is an important part of this process,” said Jim Fetherston, President and CEO of Worzalla and Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors. “I’d like to thank Mary and Wayne for their contributions so far and know that they will represent all Worzalla associates well.”

Of the nine-member board of directors, three spots are designated for employee members. The Worzalla Board of Directors is responsible for growing value for its employee shareholders, plan for the future of the company, and advise company leadership on key issues. Company boards of directors for employee-owned companies are unique in that they have members who directly represent the employees of the company. Other members of the Worzalla Board of Directors include Chuck Nason (Chairman), Sam Crockett (Treasurer), Bernie Patterson (Secretary), Brian McManus, Jeff Gerstner, and Will Hanners.
