R.H. Donnelley and Ameritech Publishing Extend Pre-Press Deal to 2008

Press release from the issuing company

PURCHASE, N.Y.--March 28, 2002--R.H. Donnelley Corporation, a leading marketer of yellow pages advertising, announced today that it extended its pre-press publishing agreement with Ameritech Publishing Inc. (API), a directory publishing company owned by SBC Communications Inc., through December 31, 2008. A directory billing-services agreement was also extended through December 31, 2005. Terms were consistent with the company's prior agreements, which were to expire at year-end 2003. "We are delighted to have extended this important relationship,'' said David C. Swanson, president, COO and CEO-elect of R.H. Donnelley. "Our directory services team out of Raleigh has worked very hard to provide the DonTech business with service quality, product quality and turn around time that ranks at the very top of the industry. This translates to more selling time and more accurate yellow pages directories and customer billings. With this new agreement, we rededicate ourselves to exceeding API's expectations in the years ahead.'' Donnelley provides pre-press publishing services to API through RHD's operations in Raleigh, N.C. The new agreement covers the approximately 130 yellow pages directories marketed in Illinois and northwest Indiana by DonTech, a partnership between R.H. Donnelley and a unit of SBC Communications Inc. "API's decision to renew this agreement is directly attributable to the high quality of service that RHD delivers through its pre-press publishing facility in Raleigh,'' said Henry Arnold, vice president - publishing of Ameritech Publishing Inc. "We are pleased with the prospect of continuing our productive pre-press relationship with Donnelley.''
