The Book Manufacturer’s Institute (BMI) Becomes Official Association Sponsor for The Print Event: A Revolutionary Conference on Integrating Print and Digital

Press release from the issuing company

Ormond Beach, Fla. – BMI, a nationally recognized association representing the book publishing industry for over 80 years, is officially announced as an association sponsor of The Print Event, a new conference from Momentum being held August 6-7, 2019 in Minneapolis. The conference will explore how to integrate print into direct-to-customer marketing in a digital world.

“This partnership speaks to BMI’s reputation as an avid supporter of the value of print and digital print in manufacturing” said Matt Baehr, Executive Director for BMI. “The timing of this conference could not be better. There is a need to discuss how innovations in print marketing are being implemented, measured and combined with other marketing channels.”

The internet and social media ushered in the age of big data and were the first to benefit from it. But now, every existing medium thrives on the vast information about consumers, with print marketing being one of the most effective forms today. The Print Event will feature interactive panel discussions and hands-on workshops tailored to teach the best practices for delivering high-impact direct marketing campaigns.

"We are very excited to be working with an industry pioneer and launching our Inaugural The Print Event this August 6 -7 in Minneapolis, MN. BMI has been an integral part of book manufacturing including those specialized in digital print and is a valuable partner for us.” Momentum’s Co-Founder and Co-CEO Ben Greenzweig said

“More book manufacturers are adding digital printing to their arsenal. As they look for ways to maximize their investments, expanding outside of just books becomes more and more an option. We are really excited to be part of The Print Event and help show our members what more they can do while at the same time showing traditional print folks that books can be a marketing tool as well,” said Matt Baehr, BMI Executive Director.

“The Print Event recognizes that creativity in marketing shines not only in the copy, images or timing of particular campaigns, but in the ability to match those assets to the emerging and established channels where customers engage with your brand. Print marketing enhances the direct to consumer relationship by making your brand truly tangible and Momentum looks forward to launching this event alongside our brilliant partners from BMI,” said Marni Edelhart, Vice President of Content and Engagement, Momentum Events.

The goal is to transcend traditional conferences that often attract crowds from outside the industry seeking to collect free merchandise and get a few days off work. That is why brands will receive reduced pricing on tickets and the event will not offer exhibit-only passes. Networking discussions will be facilitated ensuring all attendees walk away with valuable relationships and new connections.
