September 5, 2002 -- Dalim Software and Gruner & Jahr announce a major new strategic development initiative based on Dalim Software's award-winning automatic production workflow software. The aim of the initiative is to develop the DruckDaten Management System (DDMS), an Internet-based, automatic prepress production system for Gruner & Jahr printers, designed to become the most innovative and complete prepress system for production management, automation and job monitoring in the industry. Based on Dalim Software's successful DALiM TWiST and DALiM FiCELLE applications for workflow automation, browser-based monitoring and product management, DDMS will provide a collaborative virtual environment for complete prepress production providing high levels of efficiency. The system will feature all the technical and management functions required for a prepress system handling printed data, from remote data transmission and data carriers to delivering data to a diverse range of imaging and printing systems.
