Avanti Slingshot to Be Showcased at National Postal Forum

Press release from the issuing company

Toronto – Avanti Computer Systems Ltd today announced the company’s participation in the National Postal Forum, the largest annual event for the U.S. mailing and shipping industry. The conference, which will take place from May 5-8 at the Indianapolis Convention Center, is regarded as an official communication venue between the United States Postal Service and direct mail service providers.

“Automating the print-and-mail process is nothing new for successful direct mail providers,” said Avanti marketing director Kevin Shaw. “But all too often digital systems supporting the rest of their business functions aren’t integrated. By building bridges between these islands of automation, mailers can eliminate overhead costs and maintain healthy profit margins in this increasingly competitive environment.”

With modules that address every aspect of the business—from estimating, scheduling and inventory to printing, fulfillment and invoicing—the award-winning Avanti Slingshot™ platform provides the workflow and data that mailers need to streamline their businesses. The full capabilities of the cloud-based platform will be demonstrated at the Avanti exhibit in booth #317.

In particular, Avanti Slingshot’s Direct Mail Management module provides tools for all facets of the direct mail process including data services, postage accounting, tracking for multiple drops, billing and accounting functions and on demand management reporting.

Benefits of Avanti Slingshot are multiplied with the seamless, bi-directional integration between Avanti Slingshot and BCC Software’s Mail Manager Full Service™. The integration, which won the Vanguard Collaboration Award at PRINT 18 conference, provides a fully digital workflow spanning all parts of the process beginning with the mail list provider and ending with the USPS. It virtually eliminates the need to wait for data processing, providing dramatic savings in both time and dollars.

Visitors to the National Postal Forum will have the opportunity to see the second phase of the integration demonstrated for the first time. It delivers advanced functionality for BCC users who have workflows already running in the BCC environment.

“Avanti’s integration with the BCC solution is a key element in the value we offer to mail service providers,” said Shaw, “and Avanti continues to invest heavily in our strong and committed partnership.”
