Business Technology Association Honors Toshiba With Channel Awards

Press release from the issuing company

IRVINE, Calif., July 11 -- Toshiba America Business Solutions (TABS) was honored by the Business Technology Association (BTA) as the industry's 2002 Channel's Choice Award winner in the annual survey of independent dealers. Toshiba was recognized in four of the five performance categories, including the highest recognition of Overall Superior Performance, at the BTA's Annual Conference and Technology Exposition on Monday, June 10. Toshiba received the Channel's Choice Award in the following four categories, Corporate Support, Product Line, Marketing Distribution and the coveted Overall Superior Performance. This win marks the seventh out of eight years that Toshiba has claimed the title as the most favored manufacturer serving the BTA Channel in Overall Performance. In addition to the BTA win this year, Toshiba also received award recognition from Better Buys for Business, Buyer's Lab, BERTL Digital Test Laboratory and The Cannata Report. "This designation is especially meaningful this year as it comes from all independent dealers surveyed, not just BTA members. We are extremely grateful to these dealers for recognizing and acknowledging our commitment to their business and thankful for their continued confidence in the Toshiba brand," said Rick Taylor, senior vice president Sales, Marketing and Business Operations for TABS. In its 12-year history, The BTA's Channel's Choice Award is given to outstanding providers within the imaging solutions industry. This year, the survey was distributed to 3,695 dealers who were asked to rate their primary and secondary suppliers within four performance categories, including Corporate Support, Marketing Distribution, Product Line and Digital-Connected Products. In addition to the four broad categories, an Overall Superior Performance winner was also selected. "With the expanded survey population and in-depth level of questions this year, we (the BTA) felt the results were more aligned with the entire population of the imaging solutions industry," Said Robert Whiton, president, BTA. "We congratulate Toshiba with their continued success amongst the dealer network and their leadership within the industry."
