Press release from the issuing company
Trelleborg’s printing solutions operation is giving visitors to this year’s FESPA show in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the opportunity to go ‘off-site’ and visit one of the country’s most advanced printing blanket production facilities.
Situated just 40 minutes away from the show venue at Expo Center Norte, Trelleborg’s Printec manufacturing site at Barueri is opening its doors for three exclusive technical workshops and production site visits on the mornings of March 20th, 21st and 22nd.
Visitors will be able to take a specially organized transport service from the show, learn about the latest developments in printing blanket technology, tour the Barueri facilities and enjoy a VIP lunch before returning to the show for the afternoon, explains Ernesto Rukopf, Trelleborg Printing Solutions Commercial Director for Brazil.
“This is a great opportunity for people attending FESPA to add a new dimension to their show itinerary by seeing firsthand how Trelleborg is developing its printing blanket technology, learning how the products are manufactured and tested, and talking with the company’s specialists regarding their own needs.
“Trelleborg is the world’s largest offset printing blanket manufacturer and recognized as a technology leader with an unrivalled reputation for high quality, committed customer support and product innovation.
“Our established Vulcan, Rollin, Printec and Sava printing blanket brands are recognized by premium printers the world over, offering solutions for a variety of offset printing technologies including coldset, heatset and sheetfed.
”We also have our new Unitex technology which offers a high quality solution for screen printing processes.”
Trelleborg is now the market leader for offset printing blankets in Brazil by a considerable margin, with the majority of Barueri production output exported to North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America, Ernesto Rukopf explains.
“Our sales have grown considerably in Brazil and Latin America in recent years due to printers recognizing the benefits of Trelleborg’s unique combination of global technology, local production and intense on-the ground technical support.
“Not only do we manufacture and provide the best quality printing blankets available, we work with local specialist distribution operations to ensure optimum conversion facilities for individual printing needs and provide customers with all the advice and help they need to get the very best out of them.
“It is a concept that has worked the world over for Trelleborg and is now resulting in an increasing footprint in Brazil and South America, too. We have worked hard to understand the needs of the region’s printing businesses and saw double-digit growth in Brazil alone last year.”
Of particular interest is the rate of expansion of the packaging industry in Brazil as the country’s population grows and the requirements of its consumers develop, he adds.
“Fortunately, print for packaging is an area where Trelleborg has invested considerable resources and developed particular specialism. Today, we, supply some of the largest and most sophisticated film, carton, plastic and metal printing businesses in the world.
“Our blankets are behind some of the biggest production runs and most detailed results across a wide range of print processes and this is something our workshop guests will be able to learn all about at our Barueri facilities.”
Visitors taking part in the Trelleborg FESPA workshop mornings will be picked up from the Expo Centre Norte at 9:00am on all three days before being taken to Barueri, returning to the exhibition at 1:00pm each day.
Places will be limited and anybody interested in taking part is advised to reserve their place by contacting Mariana Zulli as soon as possible, and no later than March 15th.
