Hamburg, N.J. – CJ Cannata has been named president and CEO of The Cannata Report, the leading intelligence resource for reseller principals and senior executives within the business technology, managed services, and imaging industry. He succeeds his father, Frank G. Cannata, the founder of the company. In his new role, he will set the strategy and direction and oversee all operations for the company that is marking its 40th anniversary this year.

Our industry is changing and evolving and I am confident that by embracing that change we are well positioned for continued success,” said CJ Cannata.
In his first CEO letter featured in the February issue of The Cannata Report, the company’s first ever issue devoted to security, CJ Cannata shared that his immediate strategic plans include the introduction of new content focusing on domestic and international economic global economic and business issues that are impacting the independent dealer channel. He will also concentrate on enhancing and accelerating initiatives launched in recent years, and brand expansion including the creation of new media platforms that will lead to audience and client growth.
“CJ has earned this promotion the hard way. Six years ago he joined me at The Cannata Report with limited knowledge about the industry but an infinite number of innovative ideas about how we could better serve our audience and grow our business. With his extensive background and expertise in the media business, he has transformed our consultancy business model into a media business model that has grown by 20% or more for six consecutive years,” said Frank G. Cannata who in his new role will contribute content to The Cannata Report’s print publication and website and serve in an advisory capacity on finance and operations.
CJ Cannata joined The Cannata Report in 2013 and has served in a variety of capacities throughout the organization in marketing, sales and editorial. He most recently served as executive vice president and publisher.
