Denver, Colo. – Quark Software Inc., the leader in sales enablement, content automation, and desktop publishing, announced today that senior technology executive Chris Hickey has been named Chief Executive Officer. Hickey joins Quark from cloud-based data services firm RingLead, where as CEO he quintupled company valuation by increasing market adoption and driving revenue growth.

As CEO I will capitalize on Quark’s strengths, make transformational changes to our sales, marketing and partner strategy, and draw on my experience in both B2B and B2C software to increase the adoption of our content solutions,” said Chris Hickey, newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Quark Software Inc.

Providing insight into plans for Quark, Hickey continued, “This year we will continue to grow three lines of distinct and integrated business units: desktop publishing with QuarkXPress and App Studio, sales enablement with Docurated, and content automation with Quark’s award-winning platform. Interim CEO Victor Shepherd has been promoted to the position of Chairman of the Board for Quark.
