Trotec Adds LaserPaper to its Expanding Materials Line

Press release from the issuing company

The company expands its product portfolio with the addition of several heavy-duty laserable paper products.

Plymouth, Mich. – Trotec Laser, Inc. is pleased to announce that it has further expanded its portfolio of laserable materials with the addition of its LaserPaper laserable paper product line.

LaserPaper is a heavy-duty laser-friendly paper that produces high-quality results when printed, laser cut and laser engraved. Available in a variety of shades and gsm weights, LaserPaper provides a high level level of contrast when laser engraved and a crisp, clean edge when laser cut. LaserPaper can be used for a multitude of applications such as invitations, brochures, business cards, scrap booking and greeting cards.

Developed for high-quality laser-processing, LaserPaper products include LaserPaper Colors, LaserPaper Synthetic, and LaserPaper Wood.

LaserPaper Colors are available in a variety of different shades and thicknesses. The paper is especially suitable for laser processing because it is non-fading and easily folds and bends to create shapes. With laser processing, you can change the color pigments to achieve anything from a subtle whitening effect to dark brown shades depending on the paper and laser settings. Cutting the paper with a laser allows for filigree patterns and fine details to be created without any burn marks.

LaserPaper Synthetic paper products combine maximum strength and durability with excellent laser cutting properties. Available in white and transparent, these printable, polyester-based paper products are ideal for applications that require fine-detail cutting and impact resistance.

LaserPaper Wood features a real wood surface with a white cardstock backing. This combination allows for applications where the look, feel and processing characteristics of wood are combined with the flexibility and printing characteristics of heavy paper. Depending on the laser settings, engraving effects can range from a subtle light brown effect to intense dark colors.

Warren Knipple, President of Trotec Laser, Inc., says that the new products were created with the company's driving mission in mind: To make customers more profitable.

"Our growing materials product line allows us to provide our customers with new opportunities to broaden product offerings, meet a wider range of application needs, and get the most out of a laser investment," Knipple says. "When we can empower our customers to grow business and increase profits, everyone wins."
