He will play a key role in guiding the company's evolution from a provider of printing systems to an integrator of broader information management solutions. OcÈ has established a strong position in the digital document marketplace, and continues to experience rapid growth. Tom Long, president and chief executive officer of OcÈ Printing Systems USA, has strategically organized the efforts of the company's marketing department to most appropriately address product marketing and technological solutions marketing to help the company maintain its leadership position. Reporting to Long, Joachim will lead the effort to develop a new national marketing initiative to capitalize on OcÈ strengths as a provider of total document management solutions. The move reinforces the company's strong focus on customer-driven product development. "Carl comes to OcÈ with a strong track record and excellent experience with industry focused solutions marketing," said Long. "He is ideally suited to this position within OcÈ as we migrate from being a printer provider to a digital document technology integrator." Joachim brings more than 17 years experience in marketing and operations to his new role. Most recently he was vice president of marketing operations, and vice president of solutions marketing for the Global Solutions Group of Xerox Corporation. In this role, he was responsible for development and execution of strategic programs and new market expansion. Prior to that, he had world-wide responsibility for marketing of Xerox's Printing Systems Group.
