Press release from the issuing company
Montreal, Canada – For the first time, Mac users get access to every GlobalVision inspection module in a single platform. The latest release for desktops, GlobalVision 5.2.2, marks the first version of the leading-quality control application to be available on both Macs and PCs and feature Text and Spelling Inspection modes on top of Graphics, Barcode, and Braille.
“We’re excited to now offer all our core products in the newest version of our platform to our Macintosh customers,” said Reuben Malz, founder and CEO of GlobalVision, whose solutions enable the cost-effective proofing of packaging components and collateral in a wide variety of industries.
“From graphic artists to pre-press professionals who typically only operate on native Mac workstations, anyone can now use the latest version of GlobalVision to digitally proofread in that same environment.”
For example, in pre-press and graphics design, professionals often need to typeset a file, create imposition files, and revise artwork and proofs for their customers. With GlobalVision 5.2.2, they can now inspect for differences between the customer copy and the artwork file. Spelling Inspection is also now available in any one of 37 foreign language dictionaries, which can be customized to include company-specific words for greater efficiency.
With this release, the entire supply chain for packaging can now be protected with the same leading quality-control platform by everyone in the workflow. Pre-media professionals can verify customer changes, find artwork errors, and check spelling at every step in the process to save time by reducing the number of revision cycles.
“With GlobalVision 5.2.2, we’ve delivered what Mac users need to assist them in their everyday tasks,” said Malz. “Taking advantage of the processing power of Macintosh systems, GlobalVision is proud to provide world-class inspection technology on this platform“.
GlobalVision 5.2.2 for your desktop is available today on both your PC or Mac. The quality-control platform will be demonstrated at Print 18, September 30 – October 3 in Chicago, Illinois.
