CMYK Distributors Launching Two New InkZone Products in Booth #315 at Print 2018 Tradeshow

Press release from the issuing company

With more than 4,000 offset press connections worldwide of InkZone Ink Presets & Closed Loop color control technology, CMYK Distributors will be unveiling two exciting new InkZone offerings at Print 18.

Weymouth, Mass. – CMYK Distributors, Inc., the exclusive North American distributor of Digital Information’s InkZone ink-presetting and closed-loop technology, today announces the launch of InkZone TVI and InkZone PPI in Booth #315 at Print 2018, McCormick Place, Chicago, IL on September 30 – October 2, 2018.

InkZone PPI
InkZone PPI is an exciting new component of the InkZone Ink preset and closed loop technology suite of solutions. InkZone PPI is designed to replace Heidelberg’s outdated Prepress Interface. With InkZone PPI, commercial printers and packaging companies running legacy Heidelberg presses will be able to achieve perfect online ink key presets.

InkZone PPI is compatible with the Windows 7/8/10 operating systems. It connects online to Heidelberg presses via the CP2000® console, which is installed on thousands of older sheetfed offset presses. A cost-effective and elegant solution for renewing the productivity of an older press, InkZone PPI is fully compliant with Heidelberg Color Assistant, as well as InkZone’s proprietary ink key calibration tools. InkZone PPI is an intuitive online ink key preset upgrade path for any Heidelberg press equipped with the CP2000® console.

InkZone TVI
Globally, there are thousands of offset presses equipped with spectral scanning devices. These devices have the capacity to change the way commercial printing and packaging companies capture data but are grossly underutilized. At Print 2018, Digital Information is pleased to introduce InkZone TVI. InkZone TVI enables users to automatically generate perfect plate curves for prepress workflows. InkZone TVI is a fully automated solution that collects and synthesizes color data across several print runs. The solution then creates a database from which InkZone TVI generates CTP curves and calculates the optimal compensation curve.

This compensation data is saved in various formats compatible for import into most prepress workflows. InkZone TVI supports any paper type and target. It is a progressive solution for increasing the functionality and investment value of high-quality color scanning devices.

PRINT 2018 PRODUCT LINE-UP

InkZone Ink-Presets & Closed Loop Solutions-
Digital Information’s InkZone Ink-Presets & Closed Loop Solutions deliver state-of-the-art ink key presetting and closed loop color control technology for offset and web presses for substantially shorter make-ready time, reduced paper waste, and considerably-improved color quality.

The DJet-
The DJet Double-Sided Imposition Proofer, featuring Epson’s T-Series Printers, will also be demonstrated in Booth #315 at Print 2018. The DJet is an innovative double-sided proofing system capable of printing up to 40 double-sided 8-up forms per hour and is available in sizes 23", 35", and 43". The system operates from roll to cut sheet and is suitable for imposition proofs.

Tecco Paper-
Tecco is a global player and innovation leader in the paper industry with manufacturing facilities in Germany. Tecco produces and converts uncoated and coated Inkjet and laser papers/print substrates and paper-based offset printing forms. Tecco offers an incomparable range of products for core markets including proofing, photo, production, and laser printing.

Filter Klear Fountain Filtration System-
Filter Klear is a fountain filtration system with a small footprint that uses standard house air (40 psi) and features self-monitoring gauges based on pressure flow that require no drainage. Substrates carrying dirt, paper dust, calcium, spores, and bacteria are collected by the Filter Klear system, stabilizing and maintaining conductivity. With limited dumping of spent solution, tanks and pans stay virtually clean with very little maintenance.

Ink Can Dispenser-
The Ink Can Dispenser is a press frame mounted dispenser which allows printers to automatically pump ink into the ink fountain using existing ink cans. The Ink Can Dispenser allows printers to pump UV or conventional ink from their existing five- or ten- pound cans directly into the ink fountain while maintaining an even and accurate ink distribution. Using a stainless-steel manifold over the fountain and an ultrasonic sensor, the ink level in the fountains are controlled to within .375.”
