Industry think tank partners with global print services leader to provide in-depth hands-on training in live print production environment.
Alexandria, Va. – Idealliance, a global thought leader in the graphic communications industry and a non-profit think tank with 11 strategically located offices around the world, partnered with RPI, a global print services leader for digital print solutions, to provide G7® Training and Certification at RPI’s corporate headquarters and production facility in Seattle, Wash. Twenty-four individuals earned G7 Expert and G7 Professional certification through three days of in-depth training, August 14-16.
Led by Don Hutcheson, G7 Lead Trainer, color expert, active participant in multiple international color standards groups, and inventor of G7, this training event featured live demonstrations and hands-on experience with implementation of the G7 methodology in a live print production environment for color management, process control and standardization, optimization of printing and proofing, and the utilization of G7 to align all print technologies for visual consistency, process and quality control, and color workflow management.
This G7 training session attracted participants from across the print supply chain, including global brands, OEMs, suppliers and vendors, print production personnel, consultants, and creatives. Upon completion of training, participants achieved G7 Expert or G7 Professional certification through the demonstration of their extensive proficiency by completing an in-depth online exam deep in concepts and experience with the G7 methodology, color management, process control and implementation, international print standards, and colorimetry gained through the training and their extensive experience in print and workflow management.
These G7 Experts and G7 Professionals are now certified by Idealliance as proven leaders in print production and global standards to align all proof and print applications regardless of process, ink, or substrate. G7 Experts and G7 Professionals are also committed to reducing costs, speeding product to market, and improving and maintaining their client’s brand image and print production requirements. These certified G7 Experts and G7 Professionals are extremely well prepared to support print service providers as well as brands, creatives, and other print supply chain partners to achieve G7 Master Qualification.
“As a leading digital print provider, RPI provided attendees a world-class training experience at its production facility and headquarters with the concepts necessary to implement G7 in their own production environments and with their print supply chain partners,” says Jordan Gorski, Director of Global Certification Programs at Idealliance. “This event, attended to capacity, demonstrated the value of G7 to print providers, brands, and creatives, and aligning supply chain participants to attendees from around the world.”
Idealliance is recognized by ISO as the largest certifying body in the graphic and visual communications industry.
