Troika designs and develops a range of state-of-the-art quality control 2D and 3D microscopes and management systems for the print packaging industry to drive operational efficiency and continuous production improvements.

Troika will be demonstrating the AniCAM with Gravure QC, Anilox QC and Flexoplate QC in combination with the MagneCAM option.

The MagneCAM option allows measurements to be taken in press on steal rolls or cylinders. It has been designed to work at any angle around a steel cylinder, making it a practical tool for gravure cylinder measurements, also anilox measurement and management within the corrugated industry. Once data is collected and automatically analysed it helps converters reduce waste and improve quality in subsequent print runs.

Also being demonstrated is the Plate-2-Print HD device, designed to measure flexo plate dot structures and printed dot gain. Being able to visualise the dots and subsequently measure the dot sizes on the

printing plates and printed copy helps to solve problems between prepress, platemaking and the printing departments. The excellent image presentation is enhanced with the use of the LED Backlighter; a robust, high quality collimated transmissive light souce that illuminates the dots on plate for very precise and exact measurements needed for quality control purposes. This simple 2-click ‘auto-dot recognition system’ measuring method is used with conventional, flat top or digital dot surfaces down to the smallest of highlighted dots especially when combined with either the P2P HD or AniCAM devices.

Implementing Troika technology into the pre-press and print environments has proven to have numerous benefits to print groups and privately owned companies through increased press productivity, reduced consumables waste in the press shop, and production consistency. All of these have driven brand owner satisfaction and loyalty, and increased converter competitiveness and profitability.
