Colter & Peterson to Demonstrate Three New Finishing Products at PRINT 18

Press release from the issuing company

West Caldwell, N.J. – Printers attending PRINT 18 looking for highly productive and cost efficient finishing equipment need to look no further than the Colter & Peterson booth (1607). A pair of new and dynamic paper cutters and a new PRISM jogging unit to help improve the flow of finished work will be demonstrated during the September 30-October 2 show at McCormick Place in Chicago.

Colter & Peterson’s two top paper cutter brand lines will be represented by a 45-inch SABER® S115 and a 36-inch PRISM® P92. The pair of machines offer the utmost in reliability and durability, and each new unit comes equipped with an industry-leading Microcut® electronics package. When combined, many print shops often experience productivity increases of 50 percent or more as a result of reduced set-up times, faster trim rates and other advantages.

The SABER and PRISM brands have proven to be very popular in recent years for many reasons. They often are so productive, print shops have retired two or more older paper cutters after installing a new SABER or PRISM. Not only do these machines cut fast and are highly accurate (within 1/64th of an inch), they offer improved safety features and are flexible enough to handle many types of substrates besides paper.

It will become evident to those attending PRINT 18 that the new 45-inch SABER being demonstrated is heavy duty. It comes with touchscreen controls, automatic knife setting and other benefits. If you need something larger, ask a C&P representative as the SABER series extends up to wide format capability at 141-inches wide.

The new 36-inch PRISM is a bit smaller but is just as impressive. Customers like it for the precision accuracy of its high speed steel knives, rugged durability and programmable, electronic clamp pressure controls. The knives resist abrasion, stress, shock and impact, and can last up to three times longer between grinding than standard steel knives. The new PRISM jogger improves workflow with an air system to improve the transfer of paper or other substrates, exact alignment before trimming, and other features.
