IKON and Imagex.com Scratch Each Other's Back

Press release from the issuing company

KIRKLAND, Wash. - ImageX.comÆ, Inc. (NASDAQ: IMGX), the technology market leader in Web-enabled design and printing services, and IKON Office Solutions today announced a joint arrangement wherein IKON Office Solutions will use ImageX.com's Corporate Online Printing Center as its internal enterprise-wide solution for the production of branded printed materials. Concurrently, ImageX.com selected IKON, an industry leader in new office technologies, including imaging and digital networking, outsourcing and facilities management, as its provider for digital documents such as books, manuals and training materials. With 40,000 employees and 900 offices worldwide, IKON's principal reasons for choosing ImageX.com's Corporate Online Printing Center are its unique technology and scalability to manage organizational complexities. The deep e-procurement back-end facilitates centralized approval and brand management, and automates the ordering and production processes enterprise-wide. "IKON understands the complexities of managing printed documents for thousands of customers worldwide," said Cary Sherburne, vice president of marketing communications at IKON. "Therefore, IKON had a discerning eye when examining how to automate the company's internal requirements for the procurement of branded communications materials across the entire IKON enterprise. ImageX.com offered the most effective solution by far." ImageX.com will also leverage IKON's nationwide network of professionally managed production centers for the creation of digital documents including books, manuals and training materials. "IKON has the largest and best-managed network of production centers in the country," said Rich Begert, president and CEO, ImageX.com. "They can provide the highest quality documents with the greatest efficiency and we are proud to add them to our base of print providers nationwide."
