Chicago, IL, -PrintImage International-formerly NAQP, the National Association of Quick Printers-has announced that PrintImage 2001, its annual conference, will be held February 9-11, 2001, at the Wyndham Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida. The related Quick Print Show will be held February 11-14, 2001, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. All conference and show attendees also may attend the concurrent Photo Marketing Association International show at no additional charge. In previewing the meeting, PrintImage International president and CEO Steve Johnson commented: "The PrintImage 2001 Quick Print Show is the only trade show for copy shops, quick printers, and small format commercial printers. This exhibition, coupled with the PrintImage International annual conference, enables printers to learn the latest in technologies and techniques in a focused atmosphere prepared specifically for the smaller printer." The PrintImage International 2001 conference will feature panel discussions dealing with issues of particular importance to small format printers. At the welcome reception on February 9, the 2001 PrintImage Excellence Awards will be presented. The 25th anniversary of the association will be celebrated at the Hall of Fame Awards Gala on February 10. Formed in 1975 as NAQP, PrintImage International provides services to more than 2500 quick print, copying, and small commercial printing members, located in the United States, Canada and several foreign countries. Members include both independent printers and franchise businesses, and the focus of the organization is on smaller, entrepreneurial printers and owner-operated businesses.
