SEATTLE, WA -- Canopy LLC, a joint venture of PrimeSource and Xeikon NV, today announced it named four senior executives to the title of corporate vice president during the company's first meeting of its board of directors. The new vice presidents include Gerry Cooper, vice president of business support; Dusan Culich, vice president of technical support; Ron Schwartz, vice president of sales/East; and Mike Silverman, vice president of marketing and product development. For more than 30 years, Gerry Cooper has held operations roles with companies associated with Canopy, including Eastman Kodak Stores, Treck, VWR, Momentum, and PrimeSource. Gerry held management roles at various branch locations, ultimately becoming director of operations, responsible for corporate customer service, logistics and inventory at Momentum and later at PrimeSource. As vice president of business support, Gerry takes responsibility for all of Canopy's business operations. With nearly thirty years' experience, Dusan Culich has his roots in electronic prepress. He has held assignments with Varityper and VGC, as well managing his own graphics business. Most recently, Dusan had been director of business development at PrimeSource. Dusan will continue technical evaluation and integration of products into Canopy's digital printing workflows and management of the technical aspects of the business. Ron Schwartz has been responsible for digital press and prepress sales in various marketing and sales management positions at companies such as ECRM, Linotype-Hell, Varityper, and 3M. During this time, he has held roles of increasing responsibility, working his way from district sales manager to director of regional sales. Mr. Schwartz will continue to manage Canopy market development managers in the sales of digital printing systems to Canopy customers in the eastern half of the U.S. Mike Silverman has spent most of his 20-year career with PrimeSource. His continuous association with pre-press and pressroom electronics provides a unique orientation toward workflow efficiency and automation. At Canopy, he has provided technical support services, product and vendor evaluation, workflow analysis, product and marketing management. "Gerry, Dusan, Ron and Mike have played very important roles in the successful transition of Canopy's spin-off from PrimeSource.
