Press release from the issuing company
The arrival of new equipment is a common scene at the Baker Labels factory in Brentwood. Managing Director Steve Baker continues his quest to invest and expand while encouraging and enthusing staff with printing inspiration. "We just love printing and there is always something new to learn, another technique or some advance in technology that excites us and inspires us. We've got vast experience in our team but have added young, fresh talent in recent months that have lots to learn. Investing in a diverse range of equipment will encourage them to test, trial and hone their skills so we continue to improve what we can offer customers in the future"
The latest piece of equipment to join the expanding Bakers Print Bureau is a Roland DG's Versa UV LEF 300.
The LEF-300 is the latest, largest and greatest of the VersaUV LEF series of flatbed printers. It offers the same brilliant colour and direct printing capabilities on a vast array of materials, including three-dimensional items up to 100mm thick, as with the other machines in the LEF series, and also enables printing larger items and higher quantities. Featuring a 770mm print width, four print heads and two long life, low temperature UV-LED lamps for faster curing, the LEF-300 significantly increases productivity and delivers stunning results. Using the new Roland, Bakers will be looking to explore proofing/production of specialist work for our customers. Multiple layers of Gloss ink can be applied to simulate embossing and 3D textures. The ECO-UV ink options include white ink for greater brilliance on clear or dark-coloured materials and Gloss ink for gloss and matt finishes, as well as an on-board printable primer for a flawless finish on even more surfaces and shapes. Bakers' Print Bureau team just love printing so will be researching options and trying out anything new they can think of!
In addition to the Roland Inkjet, Bakers Print Bureau has added a Matrix Laminator.
The Matrix is the No. 1 Laminator in Europe. The Pneumatic options in the range are now able to create beautifully finished bespoke prints using foils and spot UV-style effects. It’s quick and easy to set-up and the technology will allow Bakers to create one-off bespoke jobs and print proofs in minutes. Using just one system to laminate, foil and spot UV means multiple applications are possible. Bakers' Print Bureau team received a day of intensive training and are looking forward to working on future projects. Finished prints look incredible and we are excited by the further opportunities and variables the Matrix offers.
