Dax Promotes Katie Matrone Manager Of Marketing Communications

Press release from the issuing company

BOSTON Digital Art Exchange, Inc. (DAX), the first managed Internet and application service provider for the graphic communications industry, today announced the promotion of Katie Matrone to the position of manager of marketing communications. Prior to her appointment as manager of marketing communications, Matrone held the position of marketing coordinator, where she was responsible for organizing and expediting the company's marketing, advertising and public relations efforts. Matrone helped promote DAX through the design and development of related sales, marketing, direct mail and advertising materials, press releases and other collateral while planning trade shows and industry events. Before arriving at DAX, Matrone held a variety of positions in the ROP advertising, graphic design and production departments of a major retailer. In her new position, together with Charles Gehman, vice president of technology at DAX, Matrone will raise and maintain DAX brand awareness by overseeing all marketing-related activities while helping facilitate DAX strategic partnerships, alliances and relationships. After contributing to the successful launch of PrintPlanet.com, Matrone will be actively involved in daily decisions concerning the concept, design, advertising and overall branding of PrintPlanet.com, which is frequented by over 20,000 subscribers on a daily basis. "While working in advertising, I remember constantly thinking that there had to be a better way to organize our workflow and eliminate the paper trail, which was inherent in most well-established companies," said Matrone. "As the Internet Company for the Graphic Arts, DAX is actually creating solutions to many of the issues that companies involved in marketing and advertising face. In my position, I get to experience, hands-on, the power of DAX products and services, and then communicate that to the marketplace." "Katie has done a fantastic job working in all aspects of the DAX corporate communications department," said Brad Giles, president of DAX. "It's my pleasure to announce her promotion and we're excited about the expanded role Katie will have in our marketing programs."
