Mortsel (Belgium), - Friedrich Hujer, member of the Board of Management of the Agfa-Gevaert Group, will retire on January 1, 2001. As of the same date, he will be succeeded as spokesman for the Business Group Graphic Systems, by Dr. Ludo Verhoeven, vice-president of the Board of Management of the Agfa-Gevaert Group. Walter Van Leuven, Head of the Business Group Graphic Systems, will assume a staff function for the Board of Management in assisting Dr. Ludo Verhoeven in his new function. Marc Elsermans, Corporate Coordinator Development and Production of Equipment, will succeed Walter Van Leuven as Head of the Business Group Graphic Systems. Etienne Van Damme, Head of Marketing Prepress Systems, will be heading the new Business Development and Strategy Department within the Business Group Graphic Systems, focusing on mergers, acquisitions, alliances and specific future oriented products and marketing projects. Piet Cottenie, Managing Director of Agfa Europe S.A., Geneva, will be responsible for worldwide Marketing and Sales within the Business Group Graphic Systems. Moritz Rogger, Managing Director of Agfa Deutschland Vertriebsgesellschaft and of Agfa-Gevaert AG/SA, Switzerland, will succeed Piet Cottenie as Managing Director of Agfa Europe S.A., Geneva.
