Successful ExpoPrint in Brazil

Radebeul – Koenig & Bauer presented print and finishing technology at its very best on a stand measuring close to 200 m² at the ExpoPrint Latin America trade fair which took place in Sao Paulo/Brazil from 20th to 24th March. The showpiece on the stand was a five-colour Rapida 75 PRO with coater and extended delivery. This modern half-format press was one of the largest and most comprehensive installations to be seen at the fair, and as such also an undeniable magnet for visitors. A K80 combi folding machine from MBO established a bridge to post-press finishing processes and further strengthened the positive impression of Koenig & Bauer for all publishing and commercial printing companies.

The Rapida 75 PRO was demonstrated in live production with fast job changes and production speeds up to 16,000 sheets per hour. During a series of practice-oriented presentations, it printed a variety of high-quality posters, cut-out models and games on paper and board.

Koenig & Bauer was able to welcome all the country’s important print users to its stand, alongside countless representatives of print companies from the other countries of Latin America. The team of experts from both the Koenig & Bauer headquarters in Germany and the local Brazilian subsidiary had an exceptionally busy time explaining the group’s future-oriented products and services for efficient and economical print production. The Rapida 75 PRO was delivered directly from the fair stand to Industria Grafica Sul in Nova Candelaria.

Koenig & Bauer is looking forward to brisk post-fair business, following numerous promising discussions with sheetfed offset prospects during the five-day event. Great interest was shown not only in the half-format series Rapida 75 PRO and Rapida 76. Further enquiries addressed the widely popular medium format, and in a few cases also Rapidas for the large format classes.
