(DAX), the first managed Internet and application service provider for the graphic communications industry, today announced the promotion of Dave Mainwaring to the position of managing director of PrintPlanet.com, a division of DAX. Prior to his appointment to managing director, Mainwaring was the lead discussion forum moderator on PrintPlanet.com, making him a well-known entity among the current 25,000 PrintPlanet.com subscribers and the companies throughout the graphic communications industry. As a full-time, highly involved moderator, Mainwaring was key in reinforcing the integrity of the site's 15 discussion forums, by making sure all interactions among members were educationally-based, challenging, stimulating and fair. His notoriety on the site, combined with his knowledge of the industry, has helped build the PrintPlanet.com eCommunities for the graphic communications industry into a widely known tool for information exchange since its inception in October 1999.
