Ahlbrandt, a Baldwin company, also will exhibit its Corona surface treatment systems at the show
St. Louis, Mo. – Baldwin Technology Company Inc., a world leader in providing solutions for the plastic-sheet and film-production industry, is pleased to announce that it will exhibit its highly efficient FilmCylinderCleaning system in booth W9410 at NPE2018: The Plastics Show, held from May 7 to 11, 2018, in Orlando, Florida. Ahlbrandt System GmbH, a Baldwin Technology company, also will be showcasing its versatile Corona surface treatment systems in the same booth at the show. Ahlbrandt was acquired by Baldwin in 2017.
The Baldwin FilmCylinderCleaning system offers fully automatic chill cylinder cleaning that is performed during operation. This process maximizes productivity and safety by eliminating manual cleaning, while enhancing film quality, increasing machine equipment uptime and reducing waste.
The Ahlbrandt Corona surface treatment systems, tailor-made for each type of surface finishing, feature high-performance electrodes that promote effective surface finishing with enhanced ink and glue adhesion. With a slim design, these systems can easily integrate and retrofit into most areas of a production line, and the Corona’s cassette rail system is quick and easy to service—electrodes can be changed in a few seconds and cleaning can be performed in a few minutes, maximizing production uptime.
“Baldwin offers highly productive, reliable and efficient equipment solutions, and we are excited for this opportunity to showcase our strong market position within the plastic-film industry,” said Daniel Gilman, Baldwin’s Vice President of Sales, Americas. “The FilmCylinderCleaning system and the Corona surface treatment systems provide customers with two great ways to maximize production uptime and safety, while enhancing film quality.”
