The Search Begins: Roland DG Starts Mission to Find 2018's Roland Hero

Press release from the issuing company

Clevedon, UK – The Roland Hero Awards 2018 have launched: Roland DG's search to unearth its users' amazing stories and recognise print businesses' incredible achievements.

Starting today (11th April 2018), Roland users from across Europe, Russia, CIS, Middle East, North Africa and India* are invited to nominate themselves as Roland Heroes. From historic family businesses to brand-new start-ups making waves, from the largest print production houses to sole traders with an outstanding attention to detail, from entrepreneurs who have shown leadership and inspired their staff – Roland DG wants to hear from you.

Everyone has a story to tell – stories of love, creativity, drive, trust and glory. Unlikely stories about unusual projects, unexpected successes and innovative ideas. Stories about simply getting the job done.

Roland DG is asking its customers to share these stories and join the ranks of 2018's Roland Heroes. Participating businesses will be able to display the Roland Hero badge on their website while a selection – the Spotlight Heroes – will also be the subject of their own video and photo shoots.

There will also be one overall winner of the Roland Hero Awards 2018, to be chosen after the deadline of October 31st 2018. The title will be bestowed on the Roland user who best represents the ethos and imagination of the Roland DG brand, with an unforgettable holiday offered as a reward.

"We know Roland DG users are creative, innovative, entrepreneurial and inspiring and this year we're making sure we recognise as many as possible," says Gillian Montanaro, Head of Marketing, EMEA at Roland DG.

"The official launch of the Roland Hero Awards marks a celebration of the incredible things our customers do. One person will receive a fantastic prize along with the Roland Hero 2018 title, but everyone who gets involved will benefit."

Businesses already recognised as Roland Heroes include Peak UK, which helps national sports teams and professional athletes achieve glory with Roland-printed emblems, sponsor branding and patriotic colours. In Germany, Dresden's Eastprint is a Roland Hero for putting its trust in Roland printing equipment to ensure it always gets the job done for its customers.
