Chicago, Ill. – As the premier educational and networking forum for the industrial print community, the InPrint Industrial Inkjet Conference will offer manufacturing professionals new ways to improve production capacity, flexibility and output in their plants. The conference will be held May 1-2, 2018 at the Palmer House Hilton in Chicago, Ill.
This new conference highlights trends, challenges, case studies, and the latest technical innovations in industrial inkjet technology across functional, decorative, and package printing applications. Attendees will learn from industry leaders who are developing the technology or successfully implementing it in their manufacturing process. A welcome reception and 15 tabletop exhibits will offer opportunities for networking and community building with thought leaders and technical experts.
Attendees of the conference can select to participate in either a Technical track or a Creative track, where they can get more focused information tailored to their specific business interests.
One technical track will focus on advances in digital UV capabilities including the latest in pretreatment curing processes. Pamela Lee, Senior Product Manager for Excelitas Technologies, will present “UV LEDs: Where are they now?” where she will share her valued insights on where the technology and supporting infrastructure are and how to differentiate in print applications.
“Advancements in LED curing technology are providing increased productivity, differentiating features, and economical value in printing applications,” said Lee. “We at Excelitas are excited to be part of the InPrint Conference and look forward to meeting and sharing with the community how advanced UV LED curing solutions are helping transform and differentiate industrial printing to meet today’s demanding market needs.”
Another technical track will focus on inks and color management, highlighting the current state of aqueous inkjet inks and best practices for drying and curing water-based inks. Participants will learn about the major challenges across various target markets for aqueous inks, review the current state of inkjet technology, and discuss how technology can address those challenges for further developing digital printing in those markets.
Hamid Shirazi, Ph.D., Aqueous Inkjet Ink Product Manager for FUJIFILM Imaging Colorants, will present “Inkjet Technology: Latest Trends and State of Fujifilm Technology.”
According to Dr. Shirazi, Fujifilm has major development efforts in key aqueous inkjet markets including commercial printing, textile, packaging and décor, including flooring and laminates. “However, each of these markets and their sub-segments are at a different digitization conversion rate so we encounter very different requirements and demands for each segment,” he said.
“Be it high light fastness colorants, expanded gamut, high durability images, indirect food contact requirements for packaging, or customized fast drying high reliability, Fujifilm has a range of proven offerings. Our scientists and application specialists find that many of the lessons learned and experience gained in one market can be very relevant to other market segments at a lower digital conversation rate,” he added.
