KBA Names New Director of Customer Support for Web Division

Press release from the issuing company

(September 09, 2008) KBA North America, a global press manufacturer based in Williston, Vermont and Dallas, Texas, has promoted Stefan Prohaska as its new director of customer support for the web press division in North America. His appointment is immediate. In his new position, Prohaska will be overseeing the North American staff of web technicians, visiting and partnering with KBA web customers, and managing the Web spare parts department in Dallas, Texas.

"For the majority of my years working with KBA, I have been directly involved in servicing our web customers," says Prohaska. "My in-depth knowledge of web presses has helped our customers to become more profitable and efficient. I've worked directly with our customers to ensure a high standard of excellence in their installation, start-up, and troubleshooting and I've worked closely with our design and engineering departments to achieve optimum performance and machine efficiency. I look forward to assisting our current and potential web customers in my new position and overseeing our talented technical staff."

Prohaska brings 23 years of experience in KBA's web division to his new position. Most recently, he was the former service manager for web presses on the West Coast. Born in Germany, he served an apprenticeship as a mechanic and earned a master's degree in mechanical engineering. Once he joined KBA, he quickly moved up the ranks from lead technician to senior service technician on a variety of KBA web installations, including Reader's Digest, Verizon, and TV Guide. He has been involved in all aspects of web press installations for KBA for the commercial, directory and newspaper press lines.

"Stefan is the perfect candidate for this position," says Heinz Schmid, senior vice president of web presses for KBA. "He has vast technical experience, has shown dedication to excellence in customer service, and has a thorough understanding of the North American marketplace. He will continue to be an asset to our company and our web customers."
