Press release from the issuing company
At the ISA Sign Expo 2018, swissQprint demonstrated that the possibilities of UV digital printing exceed common expectations. swissQprint large format printers cover an enormous variety of applications in flatbed and roll to roll printing. Besides, they meet with a wide range of quality requirements, and they work economically and efficiently.
Visitors at ISA Sign Expo 2018 were shown that a single swissQprint device has the capacity of an entire machinery pool. The Swiss made flatbed printers can be configured and expanded as required. They can even process roll media and oversize formats up to a maximum of 126 × 157.5”. The scope of possible applications seems to be endless.
Beyond the standard
swissQprint UV printers process from standard boards, series of different, personalized or identical images over objects up to 1.97” thick to diverse roll stock. Wood, glass, metal and other unusual substrates are just as easy to print on as the ones traditionally used in advertising technology. A selection of print modes produce different resolutions depending on the quality requirements of the job. The user can also choose between matt or silky finish. They can apply white base layers, finish prints with effect varnish or apply haptic ink structures. Even optical 3D effects with printed lenses are part of the repertoire. swissQprint demonstrated all this at the ISA Sign Expo 2018.
Productivity booster
Among other features, swissQprint offers the so called tandem print mode. It enables non-stop printing of larger series by alternately working on the front and rear sides of the table while the operator prepares the media on the other side. As an option, a robot that loads and unloads media takes over unmanned shifts. Whatever the set-up, swissQprint systems can be integrated into a seamless print-and-cut workflow. The clever register pin system is another detail that catches the eye: On the one hand, the pins facilitate full use of the flatbed by providing any required number of mechanical register points. On the other hand, they enable precise double-sided printing.
New LED range
The new swissQprint range includes three models: Oryx LED (98 × 79.9” flatbed, max. productivity 700 ft2/h), Impala LED (98 × 79.9” flatbed, max. productivity 1938 ft2/h), Nyala LED (126 × 79.9” flatbed, max. productivity 2217 ft2/h). All of them run on LED technology which extends the range of substrates by heat-sensitive materials as it is cooler than mercury vapor curing. Furthermore, it consumes half the energy of a conventional system which makes it highly profitable. Last but not least, the LED systems leave a small environmental footprint since they are maintenance-free.
