Lana Karlova?ka tiskara d.d (LANA) one of the largest and the fastest developing printers in the Adriatic region, has invested in 2 new EVOLUTION presses.

LANA extensively researched other manufacturers' presses to find the best possible option for the company's development strategy and once again selected Manroland for its state of the art new press.

The first EVOLUTION will be a six colour press, fully equipped with coating unit, inter-deck UV dryers, TripleFlow inking, Low Coverage Stabilization of Inks, QuickStart Plus; QuickChange Color Smart; InlineColorPilot and SPL (Simultaneous Plate Loading).

The second new press will be fully geared up to print pharmacy instruction leaflets with 2 colour, perfecting unit and special equipment to handle very fine substrates at full speeds. This is important to LANA as they are recognised as a world leader for this type of specialised printing.

“Our mission is to be the region's leading packaging printer; therefore, our investment needs to reflect this. We already run two ROLAND 700 HiPrint presses fully equipped for complex board packaging print as well as printing on very fine substrates for the pharmaceutical industry" said Mr. Nikola Hanžel, owner and CEO of LANA.

“We compared other manufacturers' presses in operation, finally deciding on the EVOLUTION press which suited our precise requirements. The new presses will incorporate the two-year ProServ 360° service program; working closely with Manroland Sheetfed technicians it includes warranty, spare parts, inspections, checkups and consultancy meetings to maintain the best possible quality and printing efficiency. Of course, this is what we will expect from both presses" said Mr. Hanžel.

After seeing the efficiency of Manroland's Inline automatic measurement on the EVOLUTION, we decided to upgrade our existing R706 HiPrint (bought 3 years ago) with InlineColorPilot equipment too. This together with the new presses will give us the leading edge in all areas"
