(New York) - Yves Rogivue has been selected by the Board to succeed Helgi Schmidt-Liermann as MAN Roland Chief Executive Officer for North America. The announcement was made by MAN Roland Druckmaschinen AG Chairman of the Board Gerd Finkbeiner. Schmidt-Liermann is retiring in the first quarter of 2001 after 41 years of service with MAN Roland in various capacities around the world. At that time, Rogivue will take over as CEO. The two will continue to work closely together until that time to provide a seamless transition. Rogivue's appointment is being communicated to the trade through a series of personal visits, written communications, and meetings which will be scheduled throughout 2001. The appointment was conveyed to employees earlier this year in a meeting at the company's Westmont, Illinois, headquarters for North America. Rogivue has extensive experience with MAN Roland since 1989. He set up the sales and service organization in Turkey, and managed the operation for four years. He then left to pursue a postgraduate MBA degree, INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France (1994) before returning to head up the South African MAN Roland operation. Since 1997 Rogivue has headed up the very successful MAN Roland Company in Switzerland Rogivue attended the University of Z¸rich from 1984-88 where he graduated in Business and Administration. Prior to joining MAN Roland, he served Andersen Consulting, an internationally renowned consulting company in Chicago. He has extensive language skills in English, German, and French.
