Press release from the issuing company
AlphaGraphics (AG) Seattle announced it has acquired Stella Color, a 30-year-old company specializing in large-format graphics, and will consolidate equipment and operations at AG Seattle’s downtown location in February. AG Seattle plans to retain the entire Sella Color team—sales, customer service, design and manufacturing. Stella owner Lynn Krinsky plans to retire.
AG Seattle, one of the largest commercial printers in the Puget Sound market according to the most recently compiled Puget Sound Business Journal list, and has grown to employ more than 100 people and encompass four office locations in the market (Seattle, Lynnwood, Renton and Fife) since owner and president Chuck Stempler bought the business in 2001. AG Seattle provides full-service printing and graphics capabilities—and national reach—to client organizations located primarily in Western Washington, with heavy focus on serving the retail, restaurant, technology and not-for-profit sectors.
The addition of Stella’s employees, customer base and select equipment will enhance AG Seattle’s growing work in the areas of vehicle graphics; building, office and environmental graphics; exhibit and museum imagery; and specialty direct-to-material printing for the architectural and construction industries.
“Stella Color’s core values and capabilities align perfectly with the culture at AG Seattle and we are excited about the potential our two companies will bring to our Washington-and-beyond customer base,” AG Seattle owner Stempler said. “We have built our business around the principals of Speed, Service and Quality, and know long-time Stella clients will benefit from our broad capabilities. We are excited to bring our full-service printing, bindery, mailing, fulfilment, web-to-print and promotional capabilities to Stella’s customers, and to bring a wider capability and expanded capacity in large format graphics to our existing clients.”
AG Seattle has been in business since 1989 and is today still manufacturing in downtown Seattle from its 60,000 square foot facility located at 3131 Elliott Avenue.
