West Hartford, Conn. – Technology leader in printing packaging and converting solutions, Matik, Inc. has announced the appointment of Uli Kretzschmar as its new Vice President of Sales. Previously, Kretzschmar served as Global Product and Business Development Manager at RotoMetrics providing sales and product development leadership for the label, packaging, and converting industry.

In his new role, Kretzschmar will report to newly selected President, Steve Leibin, and will spearhead the company’s North America effort in the sheet-fed market. “Uli’s previous experience, insightful leadership and focus will ensure high quality consultation and service to the marketplace” says Leibin.

As Vice President of Sales, Kretzschmar will be primarily responsible for the sales of Gietz hot foil stamping and tray erecting machines, Edale inline machines for folding carton applications, Vinfoil cold foil technology, as well as SEI Laser die cutting systems for the sheet-fed offset printing process for the folding carton and commercial print industry in North America.

Kretzschmar is well-respected in the label print and converting machinery industry with over 25 years of experience, and has represented well-known companies in the market. Kretzschmar has a mechanical engineering and machine design master’s degree from University of Technology Chemnitz in Germany.
