Leaders in the commercial printing industry lend their support to the new expo from SGIA and NAPCO Media
Fairfax, Va. – PRINT United LLC reports 10 independent regional and state affiliates of Printing Industries of America (PIA), serving commercial printing markets, have agreed to promote the launch of the PRINT United Expo to their members. The new trade show, which is co-owned and co-produced by the Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) and NAPCO Media, will launch in Dallas in October 2019 and will give print service providers new ways to address changes to the printing marketplace.
“Printers are exploring all options to expand their footprint of services to customers — from design to print collateral to large-format,” said Karen Fulton, president and CEO of Printing Industries Association of San Diego (PIASD), a participating association. “It’s important to provide venues where they can evaluate capital investments in one location, with suppliers who truly have their best interests first.”
PRINT United will be promoted by the Graphic Arts Association (GAA), Great Lakes Graphics Association (GLGA), Printing & Imaging Association of MidAmerica, Printing Industries Alliance, Printing Industries Association of San Diego (PIASD), Printing Industries Association, Inc. of Southern California (PIASC), Printing Industries of Ohio and N. Kentucky, Printing Industry Association of the South, Inc. (PIAS), Printing & Imaging Association of Georgia (PIAG) and Visual Media Alliance.
“PIASC members are always looking to stay on the forefront of technology in order to serve the interests of their customers. PRINT United, in a single annual event, will provide a showcase of technology and best practices as well as an atmosphere where our membership can make new connections,” said Louis J. Caron, President, Printing Industries Association, Inc. of Southern California (PIASC).
Mark Subers, President, PRINT United, and President/CRO – Printing & Packaging, Publishing, NAPCO Media, said, “PRINT United will be an experience to find answers and to address the needs and demands of customers. We’ll do that by bringing in a wide breadth of exhibitors and attendees from all sectors of the print industry. Attendees will leave with new ways to meet and exceed their customers’ expectations.”
SGIA will retire the SGIA Expo following this year’s event in Las Vegas October 18–20. Excitement is building as special activities are being planned for the final show, and the PIA affiliates are encouraging their members to attend.
In addition to finding relevance in the convergence of markets, the associations recognize the importance of the technologies that will be on display at PRINT United. As such, their support will begin this year with the 2018 SGIA Expo.
