MCT Digital Announces Its Inaugural "Innovations in Textile Finishing" Symposium

Press release from the issuing company

Event to be held February 1-2, 2018 at its Facilities in Downtown Milwaukee, WI

Milwaukee, Wisc. – As part of its mission to be an unbiased source of information relating to the industry we serve: Grand Format Digital Printing and Finishing, MCT has for the past year been providing informational BLOGS and eBooks via email and our website: blog.mctdigital.com with significant success. Our Stated Mission for the Blog: Providing insight on the latest trends and applications in the PSP marketplace.

Now, MCT is adding to its industry information content with its First Annual Symposium: “Innovations in Textile Finishing.” This 2 day Seminar will be held February 1-2, 2018 at MCT’s headquarters in the historic Tannery Building in Downtown Milwaukee. MCT is bringing together a wide array of practical participants, including industry Image Preservation Expert, Henry Wilhelm, and Sewing Automation Expert Frank Henderson, as well as Textile, RIP, PSP, Exhibit, Filtration, and Finishing(MCT) Companies. A technical representative of SGIA will round out the group to provide a very varied set of expertise and products, allowing for spirited discussions about the market, the opportunities for PSPs to participate in it, and the information they need to be successful.

Henry Wilhelm is co-founder, president, and director of research at Wilhelm Imaging Research, Inc. and appears frequently as a speaker on inkjet printing technologies and print permanence at industry conferences, trade shows, and museum conservation meetings. Wilhelm was a founding member of the Photographic Materials Group of the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works, is a member of the Electronic Materials Group of AIC, and was a founding member of American National Standards Institute/ISO subcommittee IT9-3 (now called ISO WG-5 Task Group 3), which is responsible for developing standardized accelerated test methods for the stability of color photographs and digital print materials.

Frank Henderson and Henderson Sewing Machine Company have been pioneers in providing Avant guard automated sewing capabilities. Henderson’s automated systems are robotic sewing machine (automated sewing machine components) components that are designed to save its customers time and money. They increase speed and efficiency. They reduce errors and waste. They do not grow tired. They do not need breaks. They work on time every time. For PSPs that find it hard to recruit and keep experienced sewers on staff to the the necessary work as their digitally printed textile volume grows, automated sewing can be a big competitive advantage.

MCT will also be demonstrating its VersaTech2 “All-in-One” Flatbed finishing solution running Fabric Laser Cutting Demos throughout the 2 days and will have the ability to show both routing and knife cutting capabilities to those who want to see the full system functionality. Members of MCT’s CutGuru team will also be presenting and available to discuss bits, blades and underlays in detail with all attendees.
