Online Printing Company DocuCopies.com Donates $1K for Firefighters During #GivingTuesday

Press release from the issuing company

Facebook and the Gates Foundation both matched donations during the nationwide charity-giving marathon on November 28.

San Luis Obispo, CA – This month the online printing company DocuCopies.com followed up on their recent support of local firefighters with another $1,000 donation to a broader spectrum of that community, including firefighters and their families, through the Eric Marsh Foundation.

This coincided with #GivingTuesday, during which the Gates Foundation and Facebook match donations to non-profits through online contributions.

As the organization's website states, "Our roots are in Wildland fire because we have been on the line and married to hotshots. We understand the community and we believe in and support the job!"

Eric Marsh was a 23-year veteran and Superintendent of Arizona's Granite Mountain Hotshots. He and 18 other crew members perished while bravely holding back the Yarnell Hill Fire in 2013.

"Service can mean responding to tragedies to help families," the website states. "It can mean giving financial support to help ease the burden of the complex situations after a fatality. If you need to talk to someone who understands what you’re going through, we are here for that, too."

”We offer emotional support for Wildland firefighters affected by tragedy or the normal stresses of the job. Working in stride with your insurance, we can help cover grief/trauma therapy sessions ... Donations to the Eric Marsh Foundation for Wildland Firefighters help to aid Wildland firefighters and their next of kin."
