Hundreds of Print Industry Professionals and Suppliers Combine Fun and Philanthropy to Give Back to Chicago Community at PRINT 17
Reston, VA - On Tuesday, September 12, 2017, the PRINT 17 community convened at the House of Blues-Chicago to celebrate the show’s return to the windy city and generate funds and awareness for Family Rescue, one of the largest and most diversified domestic violence agencies in Illinois.
“NPES is proud to support organizations like Family Rescue that align with our values and to give back to the cities that host our PRINT community,” said NPES President Thayer Long. “Through their willingness to donate, the print industry’s impact can be felt in a new and exciting way, while the event provides a dynamic environment to network with colleagues and make new connections.”
Family Rescue is dedicated to eliminating domestic violence in the Chicago community by providing comprehensive support services and shelter to victims of domestic violence. Additionally, they engage in advocacy to promote future system change and encourage prevention through community education.
“Safety and well-being is a shared responsibility within and among families and communities,” said Tricia La Pointe, Chief Development Officer of Family Rescue. “I want to thank NPES and the PRINT community for recognizing Family Rescue’s work and making a real contribution through this generous donation.”
The first annual Celebrate PRINT! Party with a Purpose raised $5,000 for Family Rescue. Next year, NPES is planning another strong and successful show—GRAPH EXPO—in Chicago, September 30 – October 3, 2018, and will be revealing major changes and an exciting new future for its world-class events. NPES will continue to give back to the city by continuing this annual Celebrate PRINT! Party with a Purpose in the years to come.
