Visitors Value Environmental Benefits, Slashed Chemistry Costs, and Simplified Plate Processing

Nashua, NH USA - Presstek, LLC, the leading provider of eco-friendly printing solutions, today announces record traffic at Labelexpo Europe. Visitors are gathering to see Presstek’s newly launched Zahara chemistry-free waterless plate exclusively designed for narrow web label printers, and Dimension Pro-W, a thermal CTP imaging system ideal for the Zahara plate family. Many visitors are also taking advantage of the opportunity to see their jobs printed live via a chemistry-free and waterless offset printing workflow. Live press runs are taking place throughout Labelexpo Europe 2017, September 25-28 in the Codimag stand (Hall 11 stand C10).

The Chemistry-Free, Waterless Offset Printing Workflow

Labelexpo visitors are encouraged to bring USB drives with their press-ready files to the Codimag stand. There, the Presstek team images the Zahara NWL plates on a Dimension Pro-W CTP system. The plates are then water-rinsed in the Eco-Kleen unit and printed on Codimag’s VIVA 340 waterless offset press.

Visitors cite the environmental benefits of the chemistry-free workflow and can easily calculate the savings from forgoing the chemistry. The simplified plate processing and reduced processor maintenance in the offset printing workflow are also driving interest.
