Press release from the issuing company
AMS Spectral UV - A Baldwin Technology Company will host an LED-UV printing "bootcamp" at 2:00 p.m. daily in booth 3007 during the PRINT 17 exhibition, set for Sept. 10 to 14 at McCormick Place in Chicago.
The event aims to educate printers on the capabilities of LED-UV curing technology, and how it is used in the pressroom as an alternative to, or in tandem with, IR drying and conventional UV curing processes.
The event will be led by industry veteran Allen Jenkins of the LED-UV Association, who will be joined by Barry Walsh of AMS Spectral UV. The pair will cover a number of key topics during the bootcamp, including: a look at the consumables required for LED printing; a breakdown of the differences between printing with conventional UV versus with an LED system; and a review of the ROI of investing in LED technology. They will also present case studies of printers who have made the switch to LED curing technology, discussing what they encountered through the steps of updating their printing processes.
Those interested in participating in the LED-UV bootcamp should arrive at booth 3007 shortly before 2:00 PM during the PRINT 17 show - it is free to attend, but there will be a limited number of spaces available for each session.
