Eagle Systems Europe Names Thomas Andersen Technical Director

Press release from the issuing company

UNITED KINGDOM – Eagle Systems, Inc., a U.S. based developer and manufacturer of foil enhancement equipment, today announced the appointment of Thomas S. Andersen as Technical Director of Eagle Europe. Effective immediately, Thomas, a 25+ year veteran of the graphic communications industry, will head up the sales and marketing efforts for Eagle in the United Kingdom via his company, AeTee Group Limited.

"The European printing community is increasingly seeking out that technological differentiator that will not only inspire greater awareness and reach, but also give them a decisive service edge in very competitive markets. We believe that innovation is hot and cold foil printing," notes Thomas. "Eagle is both the leading supplier and global advocate of foil applications and print enhancement on a global scale. Accordingly, they have already established their good name throughout the region.

"So, as their client base grows, it was a natural choice to help them open new doors and offer a more local support center to their already burgeoning customer base. We aim to capture the European market in the same way Eagle now dominates in Americas, and many other parts of the world… by partnering with our customers, not just supplying equipment."

A Background of Industry Success

Danish born Thomas Andersen began his career as a trainee at EACgraphics, after investing two years serving the Danish Airforce. At that point, EACgraphics, was one of the largest distributors of graphics equipment in the world with subsidiaries in eastern USA, Asia, parts of Africa, as well as Scandinavia. Andersen joined the Copenhagen division as a sales representative marketing, amongst many other products, Heidelberg, Polar, Stahl, and Muller-Martini solutions.

In 1994 Andersen moved to Bombay to work for EACgraphics India, first in a sales role, subsequently as North India Regional Sales Manager based in Delhi, and finally to set-up a new after-sales team based in Chennai. In 1998 when Heidelberg bought EACgraphics, Andersen relocated to the Philippines as AGM responsible for prepress and consumables sales.

In 2000, Andersen was offered the opportunity to move to the UK as International Sales Manager for Brandtjen & Kluge, Inc., a US based manufacturer of Print Finishing Equipment. Andersen was already familiar with selling Kluge equipment from his time in India. Since 2000, Kluge's international sales have evolved into what is now an independent company, AeTee Limited, headed by Andersen, and now representing other finishing equipment alongside the Kluge range of products. AeTee currently represents Straub Design Tape Systems and Tape Applicators, Insignia Rotary Die Cutters as well as, of course now, Cold Foil Systems from Eagle.
