Packaging has been a growth driver in the printing industry for many years, and one of the newest companies in packaging workflow, HYBRID Software, is also one of the fastest growing in the industry. The increasing demand from printers and trade shops for innovative packaging production software has delivered significant growth for HYBRID Software. Since their launch in late 2013, more than 1,400 seats of HYBRID’S PACKZ™ PDF editing software and over 300 CLOUDFLOW workflows have been sold worldwide.
“The market acceptance for our Native PDF workflow and editing software has been tremendous, with sales in the first six months of 2017 exceeding our entire 2016 order intake,” according to Guido Van der Schueren, Chairman of the Board of HYBRID Software. “As label printers and trade shops look further into the future in terms of the software they purchase, many want to create a seamless integration between the MIS software used to run their business and the production software used in the pre-press department. They are also more discerning, demanding the freedom and flexibility to install products that are the most effective for their particular set up.
“HYBRID Software’s willingness to listen to our customers and act on their input has resulted in a full suite of Native PDF products for packaging production, with many new features and productivity enhancements. We look forward to unveiling these to the worldwide packaging industry at Print ’17 in Chicago,” says Guido Van der Schueren.
“Visitors will be able to see demonstrations of complete workflow and editing solutions for folding carton, corrugated, flexible packaging, and tag/label production, as well as PACKZ integration with GMG’s OpenColor software to convert spot color designs into extended color gamut (ECG) colorspaces. We’re excited to return to McCormick Place for another major print show.”
