Alexandria, Va. - Idealliance, the association for the Visual Communications and Media Industry, will present PRIMEXEast, a one-day roundtable focused on key workflow developments, on Thursday, June 22, in New York City. Idealliance is developing core engagements and standards redefining content supply chains and workflows. Its PRIMEXEast event will explore four new and evolving technologies and workflows affecting today's—and tomorrow's—publishing supply chain management:

The Print Quality Reporting: Optimizing Information Exchange session will look at reporting quality for labeling, packaging, and publication printing; advances in automated press control systems; realizing improved efficiencies and cost reductions in print quality reporting; new standards optimizing print reporting exchange (PQX and PRX); and implementation of new standards by tools manufacturers. Panelists: Marc Levine, Enterprise Print Quality Group Manager, Schawk; and Dianne Kennedy, Idealliance XML Evangelist and Editor, and ISO Editor for PQX and PRX.
The fourth session, Real World Rights: Implementing Licensing Terms in Production Workflows, will review two case studies: PRISM and Rights Management Today—Time Inc, and Rights Implementation—Hearst Magazines; plus provide an update on standards for rights automation. The day wraps up with a Town Hall meeting—"What Keeps You Up at Night?"— moderated by Steinhardt and Kennedy. "We are looking forward to a highly interactive and engaged forum that will provide a sounding on the key issues affecting publishing today—and how Idealliance can move the industry forward," says Steinhardt.
