Ultimate Showcases Major ROI Opportunities with Finishing Automation at Dscoop EMEA 6

Press release from the issuing company

Montreal, Canada - Ultimate TechnoGraphics Inc., leader in imposition and finishing automation software, is pleased to announce its participation at this week’s Dscoop EMEA event from June 7th to 9th 2017 in Lyon, France where Ultimate will highlight smart and flexible workflow options for imposition and finishing automation, as well as the major advantages with using HP SmartStream Direct-to-Finish.

HP SmartStream Direct-to-Finish is the ultimate solution for automating printing production flow all the way to the bindery by enabling ProductionPro to send an instruction JDF file with finishing parameters for an automatic set up of finishing devices. It enables Print Service Providers to replace the manual steps that take place on the finishing station, taking advantage of the imposed data created on the Indigo DFE or upstream software. HP SmartStream Direct-to-Finish fills the gap between prepress and finishing and leverages current operations, reduces resources needed and improves the total end2end automated flow.

“80% of our jobs are less than 500 sheets, says Doug Rembold, Digital Production Manager at iTek Graphics. So to have Direct-to-Finish to automatically program the cutter, really goes ahead and increases our throughput. It’s all about process and everybody doing it the same way.” The full story can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDVKkWCuSMk&feature=youtu.be.

“We’ve reduced our overtime across our print operations by 70%, says Brian Benson, Founder & CEO of Benson Integrated Marketing Services, and in certain departments, like the print area, by 100%. We were running in excess of 200 hours in overtime, we have eliminated overtime completely at the press level.” Benson Integrated Marketing Services has successfully taken its workflow to the next level by bringing the turnaround time from 72 hours to 48 hours.
