Minuteman Press Franchise in Sandy Springs, GA Celebrates Five Years and Business Expansion with Grand Re-Opening Event

Press release from the issuing company

SANDY SPRINGS, GA - The Minuteman Press franchise in Sandy Springs, GA is owned and operated by Jon Wittenberg. Jon first took over his design, print, and marketing center located at 6780 Roswell Road, Suite C110, in 2012. To celebrate their recent expansion as well as five years in business, Jon and his team held a grand re-opening event and ribbon-cutting ceremony that included food and fun giveaways for customers and community members who attended. Minuteman Press International is the world's largest and #1 rated printing franchise that meets the needs of today's business professionals.

Expanding the Business in Sandy Springs

Over the past six months, Minuteman Press in Sandy Springs has expanded their business by doubling their space and hiring two new employees. They had the opportunity to expand when the salon next door decided not to renew their lease at the end of 2016. Construction on the additional space began in January and finished in late March. Jon says, "By doubling our space, we have been able to add two employees right away, allowing us to increase productivity and provide even better service to our customers and clients. It also gives us the flexibility to add equipment that would improve production, which ultimately benefits our customers by producing orders more quickly."

As for his decision to expand Minuteman Press in Sandy Springs at this point in time, Jon explains, "I believe there's no such thing as the status quo in business; we either grow or go backwards. As my lease was expiring at the end of 2016, I felt that we needed more space to grow or risk going backwards. I had faith that investing in the future was the right thing to do, and now that we are settled in, my employees and I are very excited for what the future will bring."

Grand Re-Opening Event and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

For the grand reopening event, Jon wanted to thank his guests for attending and also showcase the wide variety of products that Minuteman Press in Sandy Springs has to offer that go beyond traditional printing. Jon and his team came up with the idea of using branded tote bags that were filled with branded promotional products as giveaways. Jon explains, "We asked attendees to drop a business card in a bucket from which we drew winners. That alone was fun as people love to win free stuff! We had 17 gift bags, each containing mostly Minuteman Press branded products, such as the tote bag itself which has many uses, a 6-pack cooler, a mobile phone power bank, a mug, a star squeeze toy, pads and pens. We also included a truly Southern touch of cheddar cheese 'Grits Bits' and a bottle of Sangria for good measure."

The ribbon-cutting was organized by Minuteman Press in Sandy Springs in conjunction with the Sandy Springs Chamber of Commerce. The entire grand reopening event was a rousing success, and after the gift bags were given away, Jon decided to continue the fun. He says, "For those who didn't win a gift bag, I thanked each of them personally with a $10 restaurant gift card and said to enjoy a discounted meal on us. We also had food for the event. I utilized a local deli and bakery for the food: platters of shrimp, chicken rollers, croissant sandwiches, fruit bowl, quinoa salad, chicken salad, pita chips, brownies, rugelach, cookies, and more. All were really good, at least I haven't heard of any complaints about the food!"

Prior to franchising with Minuteman Press, Jon Wittenberg worked in the financial industry. He says, "My background was corporate finance followed by self-employment as an accountant and tax preparer." As for why he chose to join the Minuteman Press franchise system, Jon explains, "I chose Minuteman Press due to its proven business model and established store support infrastructure."

Keith Cawley is Minuteman Press International Regional Vice President for the Atlanta region, offering ongoing local support to Jon's business in Sandy Springs. Keith was on-hand to attend the event. He says, "It was a pleasure to attend Jon Wittenberg's grand re-opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony, and I'd like to congratulate Jon and his team for all they have accomplished in their five years in business in Sandy Springs as well as their recent expansion." He adds, "Jon really cares about his customers and works hard to provide them with high quality products and personalized customer service. He follows the Minuteman Press franchise program, gets out there and markets his business, and then delivers stellar products and services."

Importance of Marketing and Advice for Others

For Minuteman Press franchise business owners like Jon Wittenberg, the importance of getting out in the community through networking and marketing is huge. It is one of the core principles of the Minuteman Press training program that is also reinforced through ongoing local support teams like the one in Atlanta. Jon says, "Some might question the expense of all of this. My answer to that is that I clearly remember what Minuteman Press International has taught me from the beginning: 'If you don't market, you won't make it!'" Jon continues, "This grand reopening and ribbon-cutting ceremony means a lot because I took over this location 5 years ago. It was our chance to show off our recent expansion and pronounce that we are looking to take off."

Jon Wittenberg's advice for other business owners is simple: "If you host an event, let the people who attend know that you honor their presence and do it right. Make a favorable impression and they'll remember you for the right reasons. That will pay dividends in the future, on top of the joy we had putting on the event."
