With Harland addition, Accraply becomes a pressure-sensitive labeling ‘Titan’

Press release from the issuing company

A year after acquisition, unparalleled global sales and service on display in Europe

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Almost a year after becoming part of Accraply and the larger Barry-Wehmiller family, Harland Machine Systems is ready to show off its reinvigorated brand.

And at two upcoming events in Europe, customers will get a better sense of how the combination of the Accraply and Harland product lines has resulted in unparalleled offerings in the pressure-sensitive labeling marketplace.

“Harland and Accraply have long traveled similar paths,” said Séamus Lafferty, president of Accraply. “Both are about the same age and service similar customer bases, but each in their own spaces and geography, without much overlap. So, joining forces to become one of the largest suppliers of pressure sensitive labeling machines has made us better on numerous fronts. The combination of Harland and Accraply’s global infrastructure has produced a network of sales and service support that is stronger than ever. With Harland’s products now backed by Barry-Wehmiller’s service guarantees, it’s a huge win for our current customers and customers who will partner with us in the future.”

One of Harland’s offerings that is getting the most attention is the Titan, one of the world’s most unique linear pressure-sensitive labelling systems.

Developed for the high-volume, high-throughput fast-moving consumer goods marketplace, the Titan is a high-speed, heavy-duty 4-station linear PS-labelling system for applying front and back labels to a broad range of containers. Totally servo-driven, the Titan can accurately label at speeds up to 400ppm on containers up to 750ml.

But most impressively, the Titan has changeover times of less than 10 minutes, an ummatched speed that results in a minimum amount of downtime in production. It is self-monitoring to provide optimum reliability and operational efficiency and is highly configurable to different products. No need for machine reconfiguration, just changeparts.

“A machine like the Titan is the innovation that major companies will want for their production line,” Lafferty said. “With over 100 units already in production, it sets the standard for reliability and productivity in the industry.”

In addition to Harland, Accraply also has the Graham, Sleevit, Stanford and Trine brands under its umbrella.

There are two upcoming opportunities in Europe to find out more about Accraply and Harland’s combined offerings:
