Press release from the issuing company
SeaChange Print Innovations, which has made data security a priority since its launch, recently received a Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 attestation of compliance report. SOC2 reports assure companies that a printing vendor like SeaChange uses secure practices and suitably designed controls to maintain compliance and security for confidential, health and financial data.
AICPA SOC2 reports focus on security, confidentiality, processing integrity, availability, and HIPAA/HITRUST procedures. Only a very select group of printing companies meet the standards for this high level of certification. The successful achievement of an annual SOC2 audit, along with industry-specific audits such as HITRUST, illustrate SeaChange’s commitment to excellence in all it does including data and information security.
“Information security and protecting our clients’ data is something SeaChange has always been committed to doing right, and that starts with full participation from our executive management team in overseeing our Information Security Program,” said Wendi Breuer, SeaChange’s CEO/President.
Arin Brown, SeaChange’s Chief Technology Officer, explained some of the steps SeaChange has taken to protect client data: “We have an extremely strong Information Security Program based on ISO 27001/2 and NIST CSF (Cyber Security Framework) that gives us an excellent foundation for protecting our client and employee data as well as easily achieving compliance accreditations such as the AICPA SOC2 and HITRUST certification.”
He adds, “We’ve instituted strict processes to keep data secure, including things like strong encryption for both data at rest and data in transit, two-factor authentication, strong physical access controls as well as secure DoD level data wiping to cleanse files at the end of their data lifecycle.”
When working with PHI, financial information, or valued customer lists, it’s critical to keep sensitive data protected. That’s why organizations including healthcare companies, financial institutions, universities and respected retailers have full confidence trusting SeaChange with their sensitive data.
